Join the Renewable Energy Community Event in Wisconsin

By Blake Jackson

Wisconsin Farmers Union's Sauk and Columbia Chapters are hosting a community event, "Renewable Energy In Our Communities," to address questions about large-scale renewable energy projects.

The event will feature expert speaker Graham Christensen, who has extensive experience working with communities and developers on renewable energy projects.

“This event is a great opportunity for community members to get their questions answered by an expert,” said Tara Greiman, Wisconsin Farmers Union’s Director of Conservation and Stewardship. “It’s important for farmers and residents to have the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about these large-scale projects. Graham Christensen’s expertise will help guide important conversations on balancing renewable energy development with community welfare.”

Christensen will discuss common concerns related to large-scale renewable energy projects, strategies for community protection, and examples of successful community engagement.

The event will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Culver Community Park in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin.

It will provide information on the potential benefits and drawbacks of these projects, aiming to equip community members with the knowledge to make informed decisions.
