Farmers, agronomists, and agricultural professionals are invited to attend the 2026 Rock County Farm WiscWeeds Management Plot Tour on June 26,2026, in Janesville, Wisconsin.
Hosted by the WiscWeeds Team and UW-Extension, the free field event will provide practical insights into the latest weed management strategies for corn and soybean production.
Participants will explore research plots featuring integrated approaches for controlling giant ragweed and waterhemp, two of the region’s most challenging weeds.
The tour will include demonstrations comparing pre-emergence and post-emergence herbicide programs, along with discussions on planting green practices and their influence on early-season weed suppression.
Attendees will also learn about weed control considerations in high-oleic soybean production and review research involving new herbicide active ingredients, including epyrifenacil and diflufenican, as well as emerging soybean herbicide tolerance traits.
The event offers an opportunity to network with farmers, crop advisers, industry representatives, and researchers focused on advancing weed management solutions for Wisconsin agriculture.
Complimentary lunch will be provided after the tour through sponsorship from Valent USA and Bayer Crop Science, and Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) continuing education units will be available for eligible participants.
