The Kansas Beef Council has welcomed a new staff member to support its mission of serving beef producers and strengthening relationships across the state’s beef industry. The new industry relations manager will play a key role in expanding outreach efforts and supporting programs that benefit Kansas beef producers.
One of the primary responsibilities of the position includes coordinating beef checkoff collections and ensuring compliance with checkoff requirements. These efforts help fund research, promotion, and education initiatives that build consumer confidence and increase demand for beef products.
The role also includes leading producer outreach programs, including the Beef Quality Assurance program, which focuses on animal care, food safety, and responsible beef production practices.
The new staff member brings a strong background in agriculture and livestock production. With experience rooted in a seedstock operation and formal education in animal sciences and industry, the individual is well prepared to work closely with producers and industry partners. This background supports effective communication and practical understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing beef producers today.
Through collaboration with producers, processors, and other stakeholders, the Kansas Beef Council aims to strengthen trust within the beef industry while promoting high standards of quality and sustainability. Outreach efforts supported by checkoff funding are designed to share best practices, provide education, and support long-term growth in the industry.
The addition of this role reflects the council’s commitment to building strong relationships and supporting programs that add value to Kansas beef. By focusing on producer engagement and transparent checkoff management, the organization continues to invest in the future of the state’s beef sector.
