Kansas Hosts Beef Quality Sessions

Kansas Hosts Beef Quality Sessions

By Scout Nelson

The Kansas Beef Council announces three Beef Quality Assurance trainings scheduled across the state this spring. These educational sessions provide cattle producers with important information about best management practices that support beef quality and animal care.

The training dates are March 10 in Washington, March 12 in Emporia, and March 24 in Fort Scott. Each session begins at 6:00 p.m. and includes a free beef dinner for attendees.

The sessions will be led by a Kansas State University extension beef veterinarian who will focus on practical strategies to improve herd health, food safety, and overall beef quality. The Beef Quality Assurance program will help producers strengthen consumer confidence and maintain high standards in cattle production.

Beef Quality Assurance certification will continue to play an important role in the livestock industry. The program will teach responsible management, proper handling techniques, and guidelines that protect both animals and the beef supply chain. By attending these trainings, producers will stay current with industry standards and reinforce their commitment to quality.

The Kansas Beef Council will support beef producers through education, promotion, and research-based programs. These statewide trainings will ensure that producers in different regions will have access to valuable information close to home. The meetings will also provide opportunities for networking and discussion among industry members.

Producers interested in attending must register in advance. To register, individuals can email kbc@kansasbeef.org or call (785) 273-5225. Additional details about programs and services are available on the Kansas Beef Council website at www.kansasbeef.org.

These spring trainings provide a convenient and supportive environment for cattle producers to learn, connect, and strengthen their operations. By focusing on best practices and quality standards, the program continues to support the long-term success of Kansas beef production.
