The Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) Education Foundation has reached a historic milestone by awarding its largest-ever amount in post-secondary scholarships.
Working alongside county Farm Bureaus, the foundation presented scholarships totaling $980,750 to 634 Kentucky high school seniors through state and county programs. Since the scholarship initiative began in 1953, the organization has awarded more than $4.8 million to help students continue their education.
“Kentucky Farm Bureau is proud to celebrate this record year for our scholarship program,” said Eddie Melton, KFB President.
“These students represent the hard work and determination that define Kentucky’s young people, and we’re honored to help open doors for their futures. Whether their paths lead them to agriculture or another field, investing in them means investing in the next generation of our rural communities.”
The scholarship program supports students pursuing higher education at Kentucky colleges, universities, community colleges, and proprietary schools.
Funding is available for those studying agriculture and related disciplines, as well as students enrolled in four-year animal health or veterinary technology programs.
Additional scholarships recognize students from Kentucky farm families, helping them achieve their educational goals regardless of their chosen career path.
In 2026, 113 county Farm Bureaus also contributed scholarships to students in their local communities, reinforcing the organization’s long-standing commitment to education, agriculture, and the future success of Kentucky’s rural youth.
