On September 14, 2026, farmers, agricultural professionals, and community members will have an opportunity to visit Hill and Hollow Farm in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, during an OAK Farmer Field Day.
Robin Verson established the farm in 1999 on 60 acres, beginning a long-term journey as a first-generation farmer. Over the years, the operation has expanded to more than 200 acres of certified organic vegetable production and pasture.
Today, the farm also includes heritage-breed wool sheep, high tunnels, barns, and facilities supporting a range of educational and agricultural activities.
The event will provide an inside look at how the Verson family has developed resilient farming systems while maintaining organic certification and a strong commitment to Community Supported Agriculture.
Attendees can tour production areas and learn about the farm’s approaches to growing food, producing fiber, educating visitors, and strengthening local connections.
The field day is free, but advance registration is required. Support comes from USDA’s Midwest Transition to Organic Partnership Program and the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund.
