The Kentucky FFA Foundation has announced the students selected to participate in the inaugural Kentucky FFA Washington Leadership Conference (WLC) Bus Trip, made possible through support from the Bill Gatton Foundation. This unique opportunity allows FFA members to take part in a national leadership experience at no cost.
The Washington Leadership Conference is designed to equip students with the skills needed to become effective leaders and active contributors in their communities.
Participants will engage in interactive leadership sessions, connect with elected officials, and explore key landmarks throughout Washington, D.C. The program aims to strengthen leadership development while encouraging students to make a positive impact in agriculture and beyond.
Students will travel together from Kentucky, creating a shared learning experience along the way. The itinerary includes educational stops, such as a visit to George Washington’s Mount Vernon, adding historical context to the leadership journey.
Kentucky FFA encourages the public to follow along on social media to see highlights from the trip.
The first group will travel June 21-26 under the guidance of Marshall County FFA Advisor Dr. Jourdan Palmeri.
The second group is scheduled for July 5-11 and will be led by Madisonville North Hopkins FFA Advisor Brian Welch. Both trips will include students representing a wide range of counties and FFA chapters across the state.
