Grain crop producers and industry representatives are invited to the University of Kentucky Pest Management Field Day on June 27, 2024, at the UK Research and Education Center (UKREC) in Princeton. The event offers valuable insights into weed, disease, and insect management for corn and soybeans.
Due to construction at the UKREC, the field day will begin at 8:30 a.m. CDT at the Princeton First Baptist Church Christian Life Center.
Attendees can park at the designated lot behind the center and join a caravan to the UKREC field plots for research tours conducted by University of Kentucky Extension Specialists.
Travis Legleiter, University of Kentucky Extension Specialist – Weed Science, highlights the opportunity to learn about Kentucky's grain crop pests and observe ongoing research. After the field day activities, attendees will enjoy a complimentary lunch at the Christian Life Center.
Pre-registration is encouraged by June 20. Certified Crop Advisors can earn 3 CEUs in Integrated Pest Management, and Kentucky Pesticide Applicators can receive 1 CEU in categories 1A, 10, and 11.
