The Vernon Larson Lecture Series, hosted by the Office of International Programs, will feature Fulbright Visiting Scholar Dr. Kudzai Mukumbi on April 23, 2025. Dr. Mukumbi will present his lecture titled “Agricultural Extension in the Digital Age: Insights from Land Grant Institutions” at 3:00 pm in the Town Hall of the Staley School of Leadership.
This lecture will explore how digital tools and modern technology are transforming agricultural extension services. Dr. Mukumbi will provide examples from land grant institutions and highlight the benefits of global collaboration in agricultural education and outreach. His insights are expected to shed light on how digital innovation is shaping the future of agriculture and improving knowledge transfer between institutions and rural communities.
Following the lecture, a Fulbright Panel will begin at 3:45 pm. This session will give attendees the opportunity to learn more about Fulbright Programs, application processes, and the experiences of past scholars.
The event will conclude with a reception at 4:30 pm in the Atrium of the Staley School of Leadership. This will offer an informal space for attendees to network, ask questions, and engage in conversations about the future of agricultural education and research.
The lecture, panel, and reception are open to all who are interested in agriculture, education, leadership, and international programs. Participants can register online to attend any or all parts of the event.
