Melissa Etheridge is set to make a highly anticipated return to the Great New York State Fair, headlining the Pride Day concert on Friday, August 28, at 8 p.m. at Suburban Park.
Known for her powerful voice and emotionally driven songwriting, Etheridge has remained a defining figure in rock music for decades, delivering memorable performances that continue to resonate with audiences.
Over a career spanning more than 40 years, she has produced an impressive catalogue of hits, including “Come to My Window,” “I’m the Only One,” “I Want to Come Over,” and “Like the Way I Do.”
Etheridge contributions to music have earned her widespread recognition, including two Grammy Awards and an Academy Award for her original song “I Need to Wake Up.”
Etheridge has also received prestigious honors such as the ASCAP Founders Award, an Honorary Doctor of Music Degree from Berklee College of Music, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She is also ranked among VH1’s 100 Greatest Women in Rock & Roll.
Earlier this year, on March 27, Etheridge released her 17th studio album, RISE, highlighting her signature blend of raw rock sound and deeply personal lyrics.
The album arrives at a significant moment in her career, coinciding with her first nomination to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Great New York State Fair will run from Wednesday, August 26, through Labor Day, September 7. All concerts are included with admission, offering visitors an affordable opportunity to enjoy top-tier live entertainment.
