Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) is inviting applications for its 2027 Farm Dog of the Year contest, sponsored by Diamond Pet Foods. The annual program celebrates the important role farm dogs play in supporting farmers, ranchers and their families throughout Missouri.
Now in its fifth consecutive year, the contest recognizes dogs for their contributions to farm life. The grand-prize winner will receive a year’s supply of Diamond dog food and be honored at the MOFB Annual Meeting in December 2026.
Judges will consider qualities such as helpfulness, obedience, and playfulness when evaluating entries.
Applicants must submit written answers to the contest questions, at least one photograph and, optionally, a video. All applications must arrive by October 18, 2026, to qualify.
Farm dog owners must be MOFB members to participate. Contest details and application instructions are available at mofb.org/farmdog. Those interested in membership can visit mofb.org/join.
