The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC), Missouri Soybeans, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service are partnering to host a pollinator workshop on Thursday, June 11, in Montgomery City.
The event will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will focus on conservation practices that support pollinator habitats and improve farm sustainability.
Participants will learn about a variety of land management strategies, including pollinator habitat development, precision agriculture techniques, edge-of-field conservation practices, grazing native plants, and the use of prescribed burning to improve habitat conditions.
Organizers say the workshop is designed to provide practical information for farmers, landowners, and conservation supporters interested in strengthening natural resources while maintaining productive operations.
The program will begin at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Montgomery City. Attendees will then travel by bus to farms included on the tour route, where experts will discuss different conservation projects and management methods in the field. Dinner will also be provided during the event.
