The University of Missouri’s Digital Agriculture Research and Extension Center (DAREC) will hold its third annual Digital Agriculture Symposium on July 27-28, bringing together researchers, students, industry professionals, and agricultural leaders to explore the future of digital farming.
The event will center on the theme, “Breaking Barriers to Digital Agriculture Technology Adoption Through Collaboration.”
The symposium is designed to encourage partnerships that help move innovative agricultural technologies from research into practical use on farms.
Attendees will have opportunities to learn about emerging digital tools, participate in discussions, and connect with experts working to advance modern agriculture.
Activities on the first day will take place at CAFNR’s Bradford Research Farm and will feature keynote presentations, technical sessions, panel discussions, and a Student Research Poster Competition.
Participants will hear about recent developments in digital agriculture and exchange ideas with representatives from universities, government agencies, and the agricultural industry.
The second day, hosted at CAFNR’s South Farm, will focus on hands-on technology demonstrations. Visitors will see digital agriculture equipment operating in the field, interact with technology developers, and discuss practical applications with agricultural professionals.
Established in 2024, DAREC works with collaborators across CAFNR, the University of Missouri, USDA-ARS, and partners throughout Missouri to advance digital agriculture through innovative technologies and artificial intelligence.
Its mission is to improve agricultural productivity, sustainability, and long-term competitiveness while supporting environmentally responsible farming practices.
