In a significant update from the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA), the organization recently elected four new farmers to its board, with one member being re-elected. These changes, effective from October 1, align with the start of the NCGA’s new fiscal year.
The elected members include newcomers Jon Miller of Ohio, Jason Lewis and Dan Nerud of Nebraska, and Jay Schutte of Missouri. Randy DeSutter from Illinois has been re-elected, ensuring continuity and experience on the board.
The elections took place during the Corn Congress held this week in Washington, D.C., reflecting the collective decision of delegates representing various state organizations.
NCGA President Harold Wolle highlighted the high caliber of the new board members, noting their extensive experience and dedication to advancing agricultural goals. "These individuals are well-equipped to help lead NCGA as we embark on implementing our new strategic initiatives," Wolle commented.
The roles of the NCGA board members include managing the organization’s activities, implementing policies set by the Corn Congress, and promoting NCGA’s stance on agricultural issues.
With the introduction of new members, the board is set to enhance its leadership and advocacy efforts, aiming to positively impact the agricultural sector and support corn growers across the country.
