The MN Ag Expo, an annual winter convention, is set to bring together Minnesota's agricultural community this Wednesday and Thursday at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center in Mankato.
This event, hosted by Minnesota Corn and Minnesota Soybean, is renowned for its educational sessions, trade shows, and networking opportunities. Attendance is free, with walk-ups welcome despite the online registration deadline having passed.
At the Expo, attendees can expect a vibrant trade show floor, where Minnesota Corn will be at booth #55. Here, visitors can learn about how the Minnesota corn checkoff is fostering future opportunities for farmers and enhancing the quality of life for all Minnesotans.
The booth will also feature surveys with prizes, advocacy information, and insights from research funded by the Minnesota Corn Research & Promotion Council.
Key events include educational presentations by University of Minnesota researchers and discussions with farmers who have benefited from the Minnesota Corn Innovation Grant program. These sessions will cover a range of topics from crop productivity to sustainable practices.
Furthermore, the MN Ag Expo will host Minnesota Corn Growers Association's (MCGA) resolution session and annual meeting, complemented by a silent auction and a county reception. These gatherings are pivotal for discussing resolutions that affect the agricultural sector.
The speaker lineup is robust, featuring state agricultural leaders and industry experts. Highlights include discussions on sustainable aviation fuel by Jeff Davidman of Delta Air Lines and a keynote dinner speech by Rob Sharkey, also known as the Shark Farmer.
Panels will address critical topics such as conservation, mental health in agriculture, and trade policy, ensuring attendees receive a comprehensive overview of current and future agricultural trends.
For those looking to engage more deeply with the Minnesota Corn community, membership information will be available at the booth, with special rates for young members and those who meet certain criteria based on their corn sales.
MN Ag Expo 2025 promises to be an enriching experience for anyone involved in the agricultural industry, offering a chance to connect with peers, learn about the latest innovations, and participate in shaping the future of agriculture in Minnesota.
