Noble County Farm Bureau Adds New Leaders

Noble County Farm Bureau Adds New Leaders

By Andi Anderson

The Noble County Farm Bureau has announced the addition of two new members to its Board of Trustees, strengthening its leadership and commitment to the local agricultural community.

At the organization’s October meeting, Hunter Snell of Cumberland and Mattea Schockling of Sarahsville officially began their service on the board. Both will hold three-year terms, expiring in 2028.

Snell and Schockling were elected during the 2025 Noble County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting on August 1, held at the Noble County Fairground’s Floral Hall. Their election reflects the community’s trust in their dedication to advancing local agriculture and rural development.

The Board of Trustees plays a vital role in guiding the organization’s activities. Responsibilities include overseeing financials, developing and supporting agricultural programs, and advocating for policy at the county, state, and national levels.

By bringing together diverse voices from across the region, the board ensures that Noble County farmers remain represented and supported in addressing both opportunities and challenges within the industry.

New board members Snell and Schockling are expected to contribute fresh ideas and energy to existing programs that promote agricultural education, community engagement, and local policy initiatives.

Their leadership will also help strengthen connections between producers, policymakers, and the broader community.

Residents interested in becoming members or learning more about the Noble County Farm Bureau are encouraged to reach out by calling 740-425-3681 or emailing noble@ofbf.org.

The Farm Bureau continues to serve as a vital advocate for farmers and rural communities, working to ensure agriculture remains a strong and sustainable part of Noble County’s future.
