Peterson has partnered with HC International (HCI) to expand opportunities for growers in organic, identity-preserved (IP), and specialty crop markets. The collaboration aims to strengthen the connection between seed development, crop production, and end-user demand while helping farmers access premium market opportunities.
Growing demand for traceable, high-quality agricultural products is creating new opportunities across domestic and international food and feed markets. By combining their expertise, Peterson and HCI plan to help growers capture additional value and diversify revenue streams through specialty crop programs.
The partnership brings together Peterson’s seed genetics, agronomic expertise, and grower network with HCI’s experience in specialty grain marketing. The companies aim to create a more efficient supply chain that aligns production with market requirements and consumer demand.
In addition to market expansion, the collaboration will support research and product evaluation efforts focused on varieties suited for organic and identity-preserved production systems. These efforts are intended to provide growers with access to crops that deliver both strong agronomic performance and market potential.
The companies also plan to improve coordination across crop monitoring, grain handling, storage, and transportation operations. Peterson’s facilities in Prosper and Pingree, North Dakota, will play a key role in supporting these activities.
