Pork Producers to Connect at Wisconsin Pork Summit

Pork Producers to Connect at Wisconsin Pork Summit

By Blake Jackson

The Wisconsin Pork Association (WPA) will host its first Wisconsin Pork Summit January 28-29, 2027, at The Wisconsin Hotel and Conference Center in Wisconsin Dells.

The two-day event will bring together pork producers, veterinarians, agribusiness professionals, policymakers, and industry partners from across the state.

The new summit aims to strengthen Wisconsin's pork industry through education, professional development, leadership opportunities, and industry networking.

Organized as a noon-to-noon gathering, the event will provide participants with opportunities to exchange knowledge, discuss industry challenges, and explore future developments in pork production.

"Wisconsin's pork industry continues to evolve and face new opportunities and challenges," said Howard "AV" Roth, president of the Wisconsin Pork Association. "The Wisconsin Pork Summit was created to provide producers and industry partners with a dedicated event where they can learn from experts, exchange ideas, build relationships, and help shape the future of pork production in our state."

The program will feature educational presentations, industry discussions, and association activities. Highlights include a keynote address from Bryan Humphreys, CEO of the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC), and a panel examining the future of Wisconsin's pork industry.

Other scheduled activities include the WPA Annual Meeting and the return of Porkapalooza, an event focused on networking and entertainment.

Friday's agenda will feature Bacon & Brainstorming, combining breakfast with industry discussions and presentations before the summit concludes at noon.

The event is intended for professionals across the pork supply chain, including farm owners, managers, veterinarians, nutritionists, agricultural lenders, equipment suppliers, processors, and allied businesses.

Attendees will have opportunities to gain industry knowledge, connect with colleagues, and explore ways to support a productive and sustainable pork sector.

The Wisconsin Pork Association encourages producers and industry partners to attend the inaugural gathering. Registration and sponsorship information is available through the WPA.
