Nebraska Extension is set to host an enlightening workshop on farm and ranch transition planning on November 5 at the Crawford Volunteer Fire and Rescue Building. This event, from 5 to 8 p.m., is tailored for agricultural producers interested in establishing effective estate and succession plans.
Jessica Groskopf, Nebraska Extension Educator, will provide valuable insights into the steps necessary for creating robust estate plans. The workshop will cover the essentials of planning, common errors to avoid, and the key elements of executing a successful transition plan.
An expert panel, including an attorney or a group of estate planning professionals, will be available after the presentation to address any individual questions, making this an interactive and beneficial session for attendees.
Highlighting the significance of timely and legally sound transition planning, Groskopf shares that many in the agricultural community recognize the need but postpone the formalization of such plans. Feedback from previous workshops often reflects a wish to have started the process earlier.
