Support Small Businesses at MIIM Event

Support Small Businesses at MIIM Event

By Andi Anderson

Next month, people in Michigan will have a great chance to support local food and agricultural businesses at the 16th annual Making It In Michigan (MIIM) event. This well-known trade show is scheduled for May 7, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Lansing Center. Entry to the event is free for everyone.

The event is organized by the Michigan State University (MSU) Product Center and is supported by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. It is part of a larger conference that focuses on helping local businesses grow in the food and agriculture sectors.

This year’s trade show will include 155 vendors. All vendors are small business owners from Michigan who offer high-quality food, beverage, and agricultural products. Visitors will have the chance to explore a wide variety of goods that are proudly made in Michigan.

People attending the trade show can meet and talk to the vendors, sample local products, and learn about different business ideas. It is also a good way to understand how small businesses work and how they contribute to the local economy.

This event is not only a marketplace but also a celebration of Michigan’s talent and hard work in agriculture and food production. It helps small businesses gain more exposure and find new customers.

Anyone who supports local products or is curious about Michigan-made food is welcome to attend. Whether you are a student, shopper, or someone interested in farming, the MIIM event has something for everyone.

Supporting small businesses helps communities grow stronger. Visiting this event is a fun and educational way to show that support.
