The program focuses on five key risk management areas crucial for success: human resources, legal compliance, production, marketing, and financial management. Participants will gain valuable insights through a combination of online learning modules and in-person experiences.

Held conveniently on Monday evenings from July 1st to August 12th.

Topics include:

  • Urban farm production best practices
  • Efficient human resource management
  • Demystifying legal regulations for urban farms
  • Effective marketing strategies for locally grown products

Hands-on Learning:

  • A live demonstration on July 29th at a St. Louis location will showcase vermicomposting techniques and safe tool handling practices.
  • Farm walkabouts scheduled for August 19th and 26th offer participants the chance to observe successful urban farms in action (specific locations and Zoom link one day before the class).
