World Dairy Expo showcases top farms

World Dairy Expo Virtual Farm Tours have brought some of the best dairy operations from near and far to Madison for over 20 years.

The four dairies featured during WDE 2024 continue this tradition, showcasing environmental stewardship,technology advancements, and diversification.

During the Expo’s Virtual Farm Tours, dairy owners share visual presentations, with time for questions and open discussions. Tours are presented daily in Mendota Room 1 of the Exhibition Hall at 10:00 a.m.

  • The 2024 World Dairy Expo Virtual Farm Tour schedule can be enjoyed in person at WDE or online through Expo TV at www.worlddairyexpo.com.

Tuesday, October 1:

Hosted by: Schoepp Farms LLC – Lodi, Wis.

Schoepp Farms grows 400 acres of crops and 110 acres of pasture for dairy heifers and grass-fed beef. With 30+ years of no-till and rotational grazing, they minimize soil erosion and maintain yields despite droughts and extreme rains.

Wednesday, October 2:

Hosted by: McCarty Family Farms – Rexford, Kan.

McCarty Family Farms, with over 100 years in dairy farming, operates in six locations, milking 19,000 Holsteins, focusing on sustainability, genetic progress, and innovation.

Thursday, October 3:

Hosted by: Vandoske Dairy Farms – Cleveland, Wis.

Vandoske Dairy Farms, established in 1945, has grown to over 600 Holsteins, winning numerous awards. They bred champions at World Dairy Expo and recently opened a direct-to-consumer ice cream store.
