CenterPoint Energy Foundation Offers Grants to Indiana Organizations

CenterPoint Energy Foundation Offers Grants to Indiana Organizations

By Andi Anderson

The CenterPoint Energy Foundation is inviting nonprofit organizations in Indiana to apply for its annual grant program. Focused on enhancing community vitality and education, the foundation supports initiatives that benefit communities where CenterPoint Energy operates.

The grants fall under two primary giving pillars:

Community Vitality: Supporting affordable housing, environmental projects, and initiatives for thriving communities.

Education: Promoting literacy programs, STEM education, and workforce development to prepare individuals for future opportunities.

Special consideration is given to programs that assist low- to moderate-income families and underrepresented groups, ensuring the funding has a meaningful and inclusive impact.

To be eligible, applicants must hold tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and have a primary address within CenterPoint Energy’s service area. Indiana organizations that meet these criteria are encouraged to apply for grants aimed at fostering a positive and sustainable impact in their communities.

CenterPoint Energy, headquartered in Houston, is a domestic energy delivery company with operations in electric transmission, natural gas distribution, and energy services. Through its foundation, the company remains committed to empowering communities across its operational footprint, including Indiana.

Organizations interested in applying should review the complete program guidelines and application instructions available on the CenterPoint Energy Foundation website.

These grants offer a significant opportunity for Indiana nonprofits to strengthen their communities and provide resources for impactful programs. By focusing on education and community vitality, the foundation aims to create lasting benefits for residents across the state.
