Farm Business Planning Workshop Set for March 6

Farm Business Planning Workshop Set for March 6

By Blake Jackson

Farmers and agricultural professionals are encouraged to attend “Checking Your Farm Pulse in Today’s Markets” on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The program will be held at Dixon’s Autumn Harvest, located at 19947 County Highway J in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

The event is designed to help producers navigate the complex decisions that shape today’s farm businesses. Agriculture often requires balancing financial realities with family goals and long-term plans, and this workshop provides a space to explore those challenges in a practical, supportive setting.

Participants will engage in discussions focused on business planning, enterprise budgeting, and the use of contracts as tools to manage risk and improve profitability.

A key feature of the program is the inclusion of perspectives from women in agribusiness, highlighting their roles in farm management and decision making. While these insights are emphasized, the event is open to anyone involved in or supporting farm operations who is interested in strengthening farm stability and planning for the future.

The program is to help farms build resilience in today’s markets while laying the groundwork for a sustainable, multi-generational operation. Registration is open through February 27, and additional details, including the full agenda, are available online. For questions, participants may contact Extension Chippewa County at 715-726-7950.
