Hermann Hosts Missouri Farmers Table Wine Trail

Hermann Hosts Missouri Farmers Table Wine Trail

By Blake Jackson

Food and wine enthusiasts from around Missouri are invited to explore the connection between local agriculture and award-winning wines during The Farmers’ Table Wine Trail on April 11 in Hermann, Missouri.

The event is a collaborative effort between Missouri CommonGround, the Hermann Wine Trail, participating wineries, and the Missouri Wine and Grape Board.

The tasting experience will take place at six Hermann Wine Trail locations: Adam Puchta Winery, Dieberg Star Lane Tasting Room, G. Husmann Wine Company, Hermannhof Winery, Reserve Cellars of Hermann, and Röbller Vineyard. Each stop will feature thoughtfully selected wine and food pairings that highlight the depth and diversity of Missouri agriculture.

“The Farmers’ Table Wine Trail is a great way to celebrate two things Hermann does best, exceptional wine and delicious food pairings, while giving visitors a chance to meet a few of the farmers who help make it all possible,” said Patty Held, president of the Hermann Wine Trail.

“It’s a fun, relaxed setting that creates real conversations about where our food comes from and how it’s produced.”

Guests will sample locally produced wines paired with Missouri-grown corn and corn-fed proteins such as beef, pork, dairy products, chicken, and eggs.

Missouri CommonGround volunteers will be present at each location to share personal farming stories, answer questions, and provide recipe cards featuring the showcased commodities.

Tickets are $35 and include all tastings, a commemorative wine glass, and entry into a drawing for a Missouri-themed gift basket and a one-night stay in Hermann. Tickets must be purchased online and are expected to sell out quickly.
