The Hundley-Whaley Farm will open its gates on September 4th for a comprehensive field day designed to cater to a wide range of agricultural interests.
Hosted by the University of Missouri Extension, the event promises a day filled with informative sessions, hands-on demonstrations, and opportunities to connect with industry experts.
Attendees can delve into topics ranging from crop management and livestock production to farm safety and emergency preparedness.
From learning about the latest drone technology for agricultural applications to understanding the intricacies of forage systems, there is something for everyone.
A particular highlight will be the opportunity to gain essential first aid skills, including tourniquet application and CPR, through the MU School of Medicine’s Mobile Sim unit.
This hands-on experience will equip attendees with valuable knowledge that could be crucial in emergency situations.
Beyond agriculture, the event will also feature discussions on topics such as hydroponics, farm succession, and wildlife management. Additionally, attendees can explore exhibits, network with fellow farmers, and enjoy a complimentary dinner.
