The annual UW Badger Crops & Soils Update Meetings will take place from December 3 to 6, 2024, featuring a mix of in-person and virtual sessions.
This year's program includes three one-day in-person meetings and one online session, all designed to present the latest research in agronomy, pest management, and nutrient management from the University of Wisconsin, with a focus on practical applications for farmers.
Participants can register for the in-person events at three locations: Eau Claire (December 3 at Chippewa Valley Technical College), Arlington (December 4 at the Arlington Ag Research Station), and Appleton (December 5 at Fox Valley Technical College).
Each in-person registration fee includes lunch, while the virtual session will be held on December 6 via Zoom, with a reduced registration fee available.
Early bird pricing is available for those who register by November 1, 2024. In-person early bird rates are $100, while the virtual early bird fee is $80. After the deadline, prices increase to $140 and $100, respectively. Students can benefit from discounted rates of $50 for in-person and $25 for virtual attendance.
The agenda features discussions on soil and water management, forage and grain updates, economic insights, and pest management strategies.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available, offering local businesses the chance to support students attending the event while gaining recognition during the meetings.
