By Blake Jackson

The University of Kentucky Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment (CAFE) will host the 2026 Corn, Soybean and Tobacco Field Day on July 21, 2026, at the UK Research and Education Center in Princeton. The event aims to provide growers and agribusiness professionals with timely, research-based insights to support crop production and management decisions.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in concurrent tours focused on field crops or tobacco, allowing them to customize their experience based on their interests. Expert-led sessions will cover a range of topics, including corn disease updates, soybean cyst nematode management, weed control strategies, soil fertility, water quality monitoring, insect management, and crop outlooks for the coming year.

Tobacco-focused sessions will highlight production techniques, plant population impacts, and long-term cropping practices affecting yield.

Check-in begins at 7 a.m. CDT at 300 Extension Farm Road in Princeton, Kentucky, with tours starting at 8 a.m. Participants are encouraged to pre-register to assist with event planning. A complimentary lunch will be provided with support from Kentucky Corn, the Kentucky Soybean Board, and Altria Client Services.

For additional details, attendees can call 270-365-7541 or contact Colette Laurent at claurent@uky.edu.
