Graduating high school seniors across New York who plan to pursue careers in agriculture are encouraged to apply for the Agricultural Youth Scholarship offered by the New York Farm Bureau. The scholarship provides financial support to students continuing their education in agriculture-related fields.
Applications must be submitted by April 1, 2026. Eligible applicants include students graduating in 2026 who intend to further their education in preparation for a career connected to the agricultural industry. Candidates must either live or work on a farm or demonstrate involvement in agriculture in another capacity.
Applicants are also required to hold a Family Farm Bureau membership or a Student Farm Bureau membership. Students may join free of charge through the organization’s website. Those under the age of 18 must include a parent or legal guardian’s signature with their application.
Students must complete the application through the online Reviewr platform. After creating an account, applicants can begin, save, and edit their submissions at any time before the deadline. Essay responses and short-answer sections have character limits, and a summary page is available for review prior to final submission. All materials must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on April 1, 2026.
Scholarships are awarded through a district-level competition. District winners will receive $250 and a commemorative award. From those recipients, two state winners will be selected. The first-place winner will receive $3,000, and the second-place winner will receive $2,000. Winners will be announced by the end of May.
