High school students preparing for life after graduation will have an opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills and explore future career possibilities at the 2026 Stride Youth Leadership Conference, presented by Professional Dairy Producers (PDP).
The conference is scheduled for Tuesday, November 17, 2026, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Designed for students ages 15 to 18, the event will combine leadership development, career exploration and hands-on learning related to agriculture and dairy.
Participants will visit the UW-Madison campus and engage with faculty, staff and students while learning about educational programs and potential career paths.
Hands-on activities will introduce students to scientific research, technology and innovations influencing modern agriculture and the dairy industry. The conference also provides an opportunity for FFA members to earn an “above the chapter level” activity.
“Students today have so many options, it can be challenging to know how to pursue their interests and abilities in the form of a job or career,” said Amber Keel, PDP Program Manager.
“Stride gives students the opportunity to step outside the classroom, meet people working in a variety of fields, try new things and gain skills they can use wherever their future takes them,” Keel added.
Leadership sessions will be led by Michael Hoffman, Founder and Owner of Igniting Performance, Inc. His sessions will emphasize confidence, communication and leadership techniques students can use in classrooms, workplaces, interviews and presentations.
Registration includes educational materials, meals, and a Stride t-shirt. Students must be registered by Thursday, November 12, 2026. Chaperones will supervise participants throughout the event, and each student must have a completed health form and parent or guardian waiver.
