The Wisconsin Pork Association and UW-Madison Extension will host a Swine Reproduction Workshop on July 16, 2026, at Minitube USA in Verona, Wisconsin.
The educational event is designed for pork producers and allied industry professionals seeking practical information to improve reproductive performance in their operations.
The workshop will begin at noon with registration and a complimentary lunch provided by the Wisconsin Pork Association before the educational sessions start at 12:30 p.m.
Participants will explore key topics affecting swine reproduction, including gilt development, seasonal infertility, semen management, and other current challenges facing the industry.
John Quackenbush, Chief Commercial Officer of Minitube USA, will discuss current reproductive issues impacting pork production. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour Minitube USA’s advanced reproductive technology facility, gaining firsthand insight into modern practices and innovations used in swine breeding.
The interactive program is intended to provide producers with practical solutions and allow them to ask questions directly to industry experts. Organizers hope the event will strengthen producer knowledge and support the continued success of Wisconsin’s pork industry through education and collaboration.
The workshop is scheduled to conclude around 3:00 p.m. Those interested in attending should register by July 9 by contacting Jeff Morris at jeff.morris@wisc.edu, or 608-346-9561, or by visiting the Wisconsin Pork Association’s event registration webpage at https://wppa.org/reproduction-seminar/.
